Tewkesbury Abbey Foundation
Supporting the Abbey’s heritage, mission and music
Tewkesbury Abbey Foundation was established in December 2019 as a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the aim of building on existing giving and bringing a new, co-ordinated approach to fund raising to ensure that Tewkesbury Abbey thrives for this and future generations.
The Foundation also administers Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum Scholarship Fund and supports Celebrate, the Abbey’s outreach church community in Priors Park.
Tewkesbury Abbey Foundation’s main objective is to support the work of Tewkesbury Abbey in the fulfilment of the Abbey’s objectives, which are:
Mission and Ministry
Sustaining and empowering the Abbey as a place of Christian worship and spiritual sanctuary in Tewkesbury and beyond.
Music and Liturgy
Upholding and developing Tewkesbury Abbey as centre of excellence in music and liturgy, maintaining its choirs and the English Choral Tradition and extending the outreach and educational opportunities music provides.
Maintenance and Development
Maintaining and providing continued stewardship of our 900 year old Abbey church.
